Bilal Alnemr talks with Benjamin Woodroffe about his fascinating journey “following” the sound of the violin. Born in Syria, Bilal is now based in Berlin and performs regularly plays in the Boulez Ensemble of Berlin and in the West-Eastern Divan Ensemble.
Bilal was nominated to the Classeek Ambassador Programme by Sonia Simmenauer for Season 2022-23. In July 2022, he created Les Rencontres Musicales de Vauvenargues, a musical festival aimed at thanking this Provençal village for having welcomed his family fleeing the war in Syria.
